1984 is the exact year I decided I wanted to be a songwriter. I was a freshman in high school and a whole world of new music was swirling about in my Universe... including R.E.M.’s “South Central Rain (I’m Sorry).” This was the song that sparked the fire to write and do something artistically with music. This collection of songs are not necessarily covers all written and released in 1984, but are certainly of the era. They are also all recorded with and on my new blue ukulele. On purpose.
