Music

Friends,

I have a new record!!! It's available now on all streaming platforms, YouTube and Bandcamp. You can also listen, support and download it here on my site with added notes for each song. It's called “MERIDIAN”. It's a collection of 12 songs about Home, Family, Love and Loss. All written for my people. It was recorded mostly late at night at home with everyone in the house sleeping… but also features some amazing guest musicians helping me out. I'm very proud of this work and I truly hope you enjoy listening.

Yay music!!!

~Patrick

Amor Fati

Patrick Conway

Amor fati is a Latin phrase that may be translated as "love of fate" or "love of one's fate". It is used to describe an attitude in which one sees everything that happens in one's life, including suffering and loss, as good or, at the very least, necessary. Liv and Fin Conway provide the giggles and wisdom on this track.

"I Remember Color" was written for my Mom & Dad. It laments my childhood and the beautiful color in my dreams about that time. I debuted this song at a recent gig in Austin at the 04 Center acoustically. It was a packed room (Warren Hood's fans) listening to and singing along to this song..... and a spontainious version of "Song Sung Blue". My Momma's spirit was in the room that night. That audience have no idea what it meant to me to have them all singing to my Mom. It was a moment... and the reason I write and perform.

This recording features Shariffa Nyan on backing vocals, Warren Hood on violin, Sean Giddings on organ, Jason Meekins on drums, Brian Thomas on pedal steel and Das Conway on positive vibes and affirmations. I simply love how this one turned out. Please look for these artists, listen and support their music as well. They are all FANTASTIC!

Shed Your Skin Like A Coat

Patrick Conway

This is a love song for my children and reflects on a moment I had with my dad. The song was given to me in a dream. Inspired by Buddhist and Hindu wisdom. "There has never been a time when we didn't exist and there will never be a time when we cease to be. The only thing that changes is this body." This song wants George Harrison to add a guitar

"There has never been a time when we didn't exist and there will never be a time when we cease to be. The only thing that changes is this body." This song wants George Harrison to add a guitar part. (Oh well.) So, I dedicate the Moog solo in the bridge to him. Thank you George!

A Storm On The River

Patrick Conway

This song is for my oldest daughter Ciara. It's a relayed message of pride and love and a reminder to pause when she hears ABBA. The waves are Kailua Beach.

Camille Schiess sings and plays haunting violin beautifully on this piece.

No Coming, No Going

Patrick Conway

"This body is not me. I am not limited by this body. I am life without boundaries. I have never been born, and I have never died.

Look at the ocean and the sky filled with stars, manifestations from my wondrous true mind. Since before time, I have been free.

Birth and death are only doors through which we pass, sacred thresholds on our journey.

Birth and death are a game of hide-and-seek.

So laugh with me, hold my hand, let us say good-bye, say good-bye, to meet again soon.

We meet today. We will meet again tomorrow. We will meet at the source every moment. We meet each other in all forms of life."

~Thich Nhat Hanh
